Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Cards don’t have to be complicated to be good.  Take this example – five stars on a newsprint background, and a little “Happy Birthday” tag.  The only real bling is a giant grommit and a bit of ribbon.

To make the stars pop, I attached them with foam squares, and curled the points a little with my bone folder.  Also, by matting the background paper before attaching it to the card base, I was able to let the stars extend “outside the edges” without actually exceeding the side of the card.  This way, the stars won’t get smooshed inside an envelope.
